The word 'heaven' in Cheonki-bup has nothing to do with a place you are going to in an afterlife. Perhaps a better translation would be the word sky. We use it as an opposite for the earth energy-techniques of Jiki-bup.
What is Cheonki-bup?
It is a sublime attack technique, which turns the opponent’s movement as a circle and bring it back to the opponent with the same or doubled power to gain control over him.
Pay attention to some points to practice chongi-bop correctly as follows.
1. Have a correct understanding of the direction of power or energy(ki) coming from the opponent.
2. Ipshin movement which enables you to approach to the oblique angle beside the attacking opponent.
3. Unity of your movement and breath.
4. Tempo (speed) control in unity with the attacking speed of the opponent.
About Hwan Sang Do Bup (환상도법) (Imaginary Cheonkibup)
A technique/skill to train cheonki-bup against an imaginary opponent.
An easy form of self-defence.
You can train it alone freely without restriction of space.
Be careful to pay attention to every single movement while training, even though the length of time is important.
